Our FAQ

We have collected and posted some frequently asked questions. If your specific question is not addressed, email us from our contact page.

What is the route? We will use the same routes as last year. Click here for a map of the 5k route and here for a map of the 10k route. The 1k kids run route starts near the Stewart Park Pavilion, goes south on Maple to Palm Elementary, turns around the Palm track, and returns to the Pavilion. There will be maps posted on race day as well.

How do I register?  You can register online or at your school.  BSR volunteers will attend all Back-to-School Nights and can help you register at that time.  You do not need to be associated with a school in order to participate and, in fact, we encourage everyone in the community to join us!

Will I receive a confirmation when I register?  If you register online, you will receive an email confirming your registration.  If you register at school, you will get a receipt.

Can I get a refund?  There will be no refunds.  The race will go on, rain or shine.

Can I register and pick up my bib and t-shirt before the race?  Yes, and we encourage you to do so.  You will have the opportunity to pick up your bib and t-shirt the night before the race.  Bring your registration confirmation or receipt with you to the Stewart Park Pavilion from 4PM to 6PM and a volunteer will provide you with your race bag, bib, and t-shirt.

Can I register on race day?  Yes.  Registration kiosks will be available from 6 AM to 7AM on race day.  We strongly urge you to register in advance and avoid the crowd on race day.

Is the race t-shirt guaranteed?  You are guaranteed a race t-shirt if you register by August 31st.  After August 31st, t-shirts will be distributed on a first-come-first-serve basis until they are gone.

What time should I arrive on race day?  At least one hour before your race time.  Allow for parking, which can be congested around the course.

What is the age limit for the kids’ run?  The kids’ run is for children up to age 12.  Parents may run with their children and are not required to register to participate in the 1k.
